A New Application for our Multifruit Line 1000

In Sicily, our small scale multifruit line has successfully passed another test with a very special fruit: the prickly pear.

The plant has been operating since 2024 and was developed for Deliziosa Sicilia. The adaptability of the line makes the processing of different types of fruit possible, thanks to the integration of all main Tropical Food Machinery technologies.

In this case, our line is used for the production of natural juice from Sicilian citrus fruits, such as oranges and blood oranges, but the processing of prickly pear has also been successfully tested. This plant represents a resource in its entirety: the extraction of prickly pear juice has already enabled Deliziosa Sicilia to launch its beverage “SICILIO Mineral Power” on the market, a high-quality, one-of-a-kind drink made with 85% Etna D.O.P. prickly pear juice.

From Tropical Food Machinery’s perspective, the potential of the Multifruit Line 1000 has found further confirmation. The company will continue to closely follow this project, with the aim of testing new applications in 2026.
