The African continent as a strategic partner: TFM at Codeway Expo in Rome
Cooperation, long-term partnerships, and industrial development: these were the pillars of Codeway Expo 2026, the three-day event that brought together in Rome the main institutional players involved in international cooperation.
Tropical Food Machinery attended the event through its brand ambassador Marco Borciani, who followed the conferences and engaged in discussions with institutions and representatives of interest, including officials from the embassies of Zambia (featured in the cover photo) and Angola.
The opening ceremony took place in the presence of Edmondo Cirielli, Deputy Minister of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Other representatives from institutions, ministries, and agencies from both Italy and abroad participated in the conference program, demonstrating the international scope of the event. Among them, the speech by Denis Ainebyona, Commissioner for Industry and Technology at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives of Uganda, was particularly noteworthy.
During the first day, the guide “Diplomazia della crescita: destinazione Africa” was presented. The publication was developed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with Internationalia, Fondazione Aurora ETS, and several stakeholders of the Sistema Italia. The guide summarizes key information about the African continent for profit-oriented organizations, highlighting the growing strategic importance of this geographical area.
“Learning about the tools available to industries for building partnerships in Africa was important and necessary – the brand ambassador Borciani explained. – Africa is a region with great potential and a growing economy, as well as high-quality tomato and tropical fruit production. Tropical Food Machinery already supplies various local operators with technologies for raw material processing, helping create added value and a strong social impact. We have achieved excellent results through dozens of installations across the continent and, following this experience in Rome, we will continue pursuing this path with conviction and dedication.”
Participation in the event therefore represented both a training opportunity and a chance to meet many Italian and international organizations with which to strengthen dialogue and cooperation, while looking toward the future. Tropical Food Machinery thanks Codeway Expo 2026 and Fiere di Roma for the opportunity, reaffirming its commitment to contributing to industrial development projects both in Africa and in the global market.
