The quality of African mangoes is undeniable, yet their potential remains largely untapped: phytosanitary restrictions related to the presence of the so-called “fruit fly” can limit their direct access to certain Western markets, resulting in production surpluses that are ultimately lost due to the natural perishability of fresh fruit.

In this scenario, the most effective solution to enhance the value of mangoes and make them marketable before they perish is to process the fruit and subsequently store the product under aseptic conditions. This final step ensures long shelf life while also helping maintain compliance with international food safety standards.

Every project is tailored to specific environmental and production requirements. In particular, this installation features a filtration and recirculation system designed to optimize water consumption during the mango pre-treatment stages, which involve washing and brushing with water and sanitizing agents, followed by blanching.

The first production season ended with the Client’s satisfaction, confirming the value of a technology designed to turn a challenge within the supply chain into an industrial opportunity.

TFM is proud to contribute to the development of the African food processing industry, putting its hands-on experience at the service of designing customized industrial solutions tailored to the Clients’ specific requirements and needs.

Discover our ➤ Mango Processing Line
Discover our ➤ Multifruit processing Lines
