{"id":1325,"date":"2019-05-08T16:46:54","date_gmt":"2019-05-08T14:46:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tropicalfood.net\/?page_id=1325"},"modified":"2026-10-16T12:16:02","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T10:16:02","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tropicalfood.net\/en\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>About us<\/h1>\n<div>\n<h3>About our story<\/h3>\n<p>It all began in 1975, when a pioneering Italian entrepreneur<br \/>travelled to Brazil to gain first-hand experience<br \/>in tropical fruit processing.<\/p>\n<p>The journey proved successful, and Tropical Food Machinery was founded in Pouso Alegre.<\/p>\n<p>Passion and dedication have since driven the company to become a leading player in Latin America, paving the way for the opening of a headquarter in Busseto (Parma), Italy, in the so-called Food Valley.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/man_on_the_way.jpg\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/tfm_brasile.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>About what we do<\/h3>\n<p>Today, our two headquarters design and manufacture complete processing lines for tropical and temperate-climate fruit, producing juices, pur\u00e9es, concentrates and jams.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to its two production facilities in Brazil \u2013 Mirca and Flora \u2013 TFM can test its equipment directly in real operating conditions, continuously improving its technologies and performance.<\/p>\n<p>The Company continues to invest in the development of fruit processing technologies, supporting Customers with tailored solutions, technical assistance and proven expertise.<br \/>This ongoing commitment has established TFM as an international reference point in the design of processing plants for the food industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h1>About our Corporate Policy<\/h1>\n<div>\n<p>At Tropical Food Machinery, innovation means finding the best way to make use of what is already available. Every plant is designed to deliver high-quality products, maximise raw material yield and extend the shelf life of safe food products.<\/p>\n<p>Efficiency also means using resources responsibly. Reducing water and energy consumption helps make production processes more sustainable without compromising plant performance. That is why TFM continually works to strike the right balance between yield and resource consumption.<\/p>\n<p>We also believe in recovering and valorising by-products, turning the residual materials from processing into new resources in line with the principles of the circular economy.<br \/>To this end, TFM invests in Research and Development projects, including initiatives carried out in collaboration with external partners.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, TFM promotes the processing of fruit and vegetables close to where they are grown. Processing raw materials locally means acting quickly after harvest,<br \/>preserving the value of the fresh product and enabling a fair market price that fosters the development of local
